The Caedmon Collection

We have already spoken of Caedmon Collection about the readings of some poems: it is a prestigious collection of records that Thomas accomplished for Caedmon Records, then label debut, starting in February '52. The first release of Caedmon ever it was a disc of prose and poetry by Thomas read by himself, entitled A Child's Christmas in Wales and Five Poems : This paved the way for many other great artists who devoted themselves to reading and to 'disk recording of their works, by WH Auden to Robert Frost, Ernest Hemingway by to T. S Eliot , Caedmon and led to great success as a label specializing in audio books literary and other content.
In 2002, to celebrate its 50 years, Caedmon, in the meantime passed into the hands of HarperCollins, has collected all the records that Thomas had in store, many of which already exits between the '50s and the years' 60, and has published this wonderful box set, which also includes some recordings of Thomas at the BBC and CBC.
Among the many poems, including his most famous prose, as A Child's Christmas in Wales , Quite Early One Morning and Under Milk Wood . The recording of Under Milk Wood contained in the Collection is the only one to include Thomas in the cast, and if today we can enjoy the value is priceless, thanks to a providential microphone was placed at the center of the stage just minutes before the curtain would rise.

For those interested, even for simple curiosity to the full tracklist of the Caedmon Collection, not the easy availability on the Internet, I will be glad to send it through e-mail.
